Downsizing Motoring Life

 It's been a while now that the "dream" of downsizing to a motorcycle had been in the back of my mind.  

The reasons for doing this are:-

Global warming. 

Current vehicle takes to much time towns $'s to maintain.

Simplify my life towards more cycling and gardening and spending less on a car.  

Aligning my lifestyle with my heartsong - as above. 

Fun.  

To use as a cheap recce vehicle for bikepacking trips. 

There are negatives,  the main one being that I won't have a work ute for transporting my gardening gear.  But my son, Sergio mostly works with me,  is being gifted a car,  and i can use my daughter's little buzz  box car. 

I guess I'm being a bit un-smart, but for me Global Warming dictates change. 

So I've been looking at large motorcycles with capabilities android storing equipment and off road riding.  

OPTION 1: BMW650 "Dakar" is s 2001, has  on it and lists at $5k. A super model owned by an enthusiast. (Newy)

OPTION 2: BMW650GS "Yellow" is a 2003, has 125k  on it and listed at $3100. Optioned up, high miler (ACT)

OPTION 3: BMW650GS "Camou" is a 2001, has 48k  on it and lists at $3200. Bare bones,  good mileage.  (North coast)

I'm still looking,  but within budget,  I like #2, my wallet says #3 But my testosterone teenager inside says #1.

2022 ideas

 I don't hold to the idea of resolutions on new years because i develop new ideas each day.  Myall Lake swimming spot.  I've never heard anyone say they wish to do more(pa it's) work.  Most are nursing or health from being overworked,  or accommodating to working,  or just want to do mow of their e activities.  Every day i want to do more cycling,  gardening and quality writing. I 've been drawn to the dazzling lights of movie quality YouTube videos.  But when i learned about the amount of time this people spend working to pay for the equipment, not  riding but setting up shots or flying drones and then while days editing. Frankly,  i'm perplexed by the tomfoolery & curious as to the motives of those people (cyclists,  egotists, self-promoters, or content as fill for advertising)  While i am tryong to video my adventures,  the attitude is vastly different.  I am motivated to portray simply certain aspects off...

My Birthday Wishes

 61 today.  Sixty bloody one! I look at people or photos of people and think "oh they're old" only  to learn they are only fifty something.   I still feel like a young man,  a kid sometimes.  Except for when i get indigestion from eating junk foods,  or hobble a bit of I've sat to long.  I'm much diet now than i have been since the early 1980s when i practiced to compete in triathlons.  I remember After my 30 year marriage abruptly ended and i took up mowing and gardening to pay the bills.  Each day I'd feel worn out and ached a lot.  It'd scoff chips and burger,  because i fees i didn't really feel good about myself.  But i do now, feel good about myself.  Yeh there's more weight to lose and a harder resolve to develop,  but i am proud of how far I've come.
